Canadian players live the Barça Soccer Experience.
Last October, Barcelona welcomed more than 100 young soccer players and over 100 accompanying guests from various cities across Canada as part of the Barça Soccer Experience powered by Firmament. After arriving in Barcelona, the group enjoyed a guided walk through Passeig de Gràcia, taking in iconic landmarks, before attending a special welcome meeting. Here, they received an overview of the schedule, gift bags, and surprises, including a performance by the Spanish freestyle champion.
The players trained at the Barça facilities and took on the famous Robokeeper at Camp Nou. They also ventured to Girona, where they explored the city’s historic charm and participated in an intense training session that received enthusiastic praise from the young players.
The group enjoyed an excursion to Tibidabo, with its stunning views of the city, and visited the RCDE Espanyol stadium and museum. One of the highlights was an exquisite buffet dinner featuring Spanish cuisine at the Barça Museum, where guests dined among the club’s trophies. Participants also had the opportunity to play friendly matches against local teams, giving them a taste of the Spanish soccer scene and a chance to showcase their skills.
The experience concluded with a thrilling La Liga match, as the group watched FC Barcelona take on Sevilla FC. Barça delivered an impressive performance, securing a 5-1 victory, much to the delight of the visiting fans.
